Alice McCall's Mercedes-Benz Australian Fashion Week show was all about a strong, confident woman who doesn't take herself too seriously. McCall is well-loved in her home country for her joyful, feminine designs with a fanciful flavour. This season, McCall channelled her feminine side through asymmetric hemlines, transparent peekaboo fabrics and daring cut-outs, but kept the collection from becoming too 'serious' by adding in touches of eyelet detailing, mirrored prints and almost grandma-style floral embroidery. Backstage, we hung out with some of Australia's most beautiful models, while they had their hair braided into milkmaid-inspired coifs and got their geisha-style make-up done.
