Earlier this year, Electric sekki proudly partnered up with 10 of Hong Kong's most inspirational creatives for our annual Les Artistes initiative. We worked with talented upcoming Hong Kong photographer, Dicky Manana, to shoot 10 bright young things who work closely with the fashion industry. The bright colours, prints and textiles of 2012 inspired a comic-book style Industry Strikes Back! photo shoot and video, where each artist involved was depicted as a superhero sent to save the world for the darkness of bordom and ennui.
It was an honor to work with so many talented, cool people, all working together on this fantastic creative endeavor. Hong Kong is most often referred to as a financial paradise, filled with commercial opportunities and financial gain, but it's also full of wonderfully creative-driven people who are striving for innovation and pushing the boundaries of our imaginations each day. See our Les Artistes: The Industry Strikes Back! superheros, shot by HKHQ.tv, below.
