Always one to keep up with the times, the sass & bide girls reported live from their London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2013 show through Instagram under the hashtag #instawalk. Other than their of-the-minute use of technology, the girls also showed a collection that felt utterly fresh and current. They named their collection Wintergate and explored new, more sophisticated, stripped-back silhouettes and fabrications. There was hardly a sequin in sight and the colour palette consisted primarily of black, white, mustard and silver. Replacing the wildly colourful, tribal-influenced prints of seasons past were more basic, graphic black-and-white prints and textures. The sass & bide girl has grown up a bit this season and, hey, let's face it, we have, too!
Metallic knitwear played a major part in this collection.
New to sass & bide: Loose pants, done in a very sophisticated, tailored silhouette.
sass & bide's new codes of dressing: pair a loose knitted sweater with a sexy miniskirt for a look that's modern and refreshing.
sass & bide's new codes of dressing: wearing a strapless top with a pair of elegant loose black pants has never looked so chic!
Reworked sass & bide signatures: metallic piping looks modern and graphic against star black.
Updated sass & bide signatures: the little statement dress, re-energized by using metal chainmail-style details to evoke the feeling of a futuristic warrior woman.
More armour-inspired dresses.
Updated sass & bide signatures: intricate cut-outs done in a more laid-back, relaxed style.
