Until now, Hussein Chalayan has been designing two separate collections each season: his Chalayan line of runway pieces and his Chalayan Grey line of more affordable pieces. This season, however, that all changes as he merges the two into just one - Chalayan - where he is offering up everything from entry-price to middle-price to luxury price-point pieces. His girl can now get a little bit of everything, all under one name. And his Resort 2014 collection reflected that shift in sensibility. Here, you can find everything from chic separates to luxe dresses to statement coats to basic tops--all done in Chalayan's trademark aesthetic. Chalayan is still exploring his regular themes of metamorphosis and movement here, he is still utilizing cutting-edge techniques and pushing himself to explore new frontiers of his design process; he is now further challenging himself to do it cohesively at different price points in one collection.
