House of Holland's Spring/Summer 2013 show started off in the grunge era and ended up somewhere in between the hippie 70's and the raving 90's. Initially inspired by the thought of the House of Holland girl picking up a bit of an attitude problem, one can understand why the collection started with such strong grunge-influences such as plaid, long loose dresses and sheer peekaboo pieces. But then Henry Holland's infectious colour and energy creeped in halfway through the show and his girl seemed to have cheered up a bit, introducing bright tie-dye fabrics, metallics and almost neon colours. The result was a well-balanced collection which are hitting all the trends so far this season: baggy bermudas, peekaboo fabrics and cropped tops. It's the perfect collection for a moody girl whose got her up's and down's--and let's face it, who doesn't?
