sass & bide's Heidi Middleton and Sarah-Jane Clarke took inspiration from a trip to Peru and Buenos Aires in designing their Spring/Summer 2013 collection, which just showed at London Fashion Week, but you may not immediately get that reference from the black-and-white colour palette of the show. The designers said the inspiration came more from the "energy and feeling" of Peru and Buenos Aires than the actual aesthetics. Well, full of energy, the collection was! It wasn't completely devoid of colour, though; there were pops of neon orange which the design-duo simply couldn't resist sneaking in. All the signature sass & bide elements we love were present--the tribal references, the eye-catching embellishment, the metallic accents, the sexy cut-outs and the flattering light, breezy fabrics--but the collection felt a touch more sophisticated a clean. Definitely a collection we can't wait to wear!
