Peter Som's Resort 2013 collection was an exercise in what have become his best signature pieces: little day dresses in vibrant colours, pretty pants in lace and prints, cute perfect-for-sumer shorts, funky prints splashed across everything from pants to shirts to coats to skirts, and impeccably-cut statement coats. This season, Som was inspired by exotic faraway places, as evidenced in his mosaic tile prints and use of striking hues. One muse, in particular, came to mind: the mysterious and beautiful Talitha Getty, who spent most of her life in love with the hedonistic Moroccan city of Marrakesh. One can see her now, lounging on a mosaic-tiled sun drenched roof in a matching mosaic-print pair of pants and a cute cropped top from Som's collection. Without a doubt, this was a collection fit for a jet-setting modern muse.
