midi

So unless you've been living under a rock recently, you'll be well-aware that midi-length skirts and dresses have been touted as the "new length" for the decade.  Prada and Louis Vuitton showed them first last winter and they've remained strong for SS'11 and beyond.  Sometimes, it can be hard to pull this look off without looking prissy or fumpy--luckily, Twenty8Twelve has a great solution to this problem: the 'Jaid Midi Dress'!  It's the perfect on-trend midi length, done in a figure-hugging cut and a cool print; it's the ideal piece for anyone looking to try this trend while still remaining laid back and sexy.

deadly ponies precious

I don't know about you, but during hot summers, I usually don't feel like fussing around with too much jewellery, other than a light, unique necklace and a simple ring or two. The answer to all my summer jewellery desires seem to have been fulfilled in Deadly Ponies Precious' fantastic nature-inspired necklaces and rings. Our picks for the coming summer? The bird's skull necklace and rope ring.

best bet: rooftop cinema

In a city where most evenings after work are spent attending an event along the lines of a new product launch, a restaurant opening or a fashion show, sometimes it's a real treat to do something a bit more low-key and relaxing.  Our best bet for a laid-back evening takes the form of Rooftop Cinema HK, a venue which opens doors tomorrow, 7 April. Situated on the roof of the Fringe Club, Rooftop Cinema HK screens classics such as Donnie Darko and Pulp Fiction on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Rock up at 7.30 for drinks and a bite to eat, and the show starts at 8.30; this sounds like the perfect way to spend a lazy summer evening with a group of close friends. Tickets are priced at $125 and seating is limited to 90 per showing, so get in quick! They kick things off with our personal favourite, Zoolander, tomorrow evening!
