With the Valentino show starting at 2.30 pm at the Tuileries, by the time the show ends and everyone starts pouring out of the tent, there is a glorious hazy quality about the sunlight, diffused by the loose gravel surface of the ground in the gardens. This often results in wonderfully soft lighting conditions that lend a romantic, dreamlike quality to the photographs.
