When we invited famed Hong Kong couturier, Barney Cheng, to take part in our Superga DIY series back in April this year, everyone went wild for the pair he designed. At the time, unfortunately, the shoes were not available for sale but now we're pleased to announce an official collaboration between the two design powerhouses, the Barney Cheng for Superga limited edition capsule collection. While Barney's original design was done in white, the capsule collection also offers the shoes up in both red and black. There are 150 pairs available in total, 50 in each colour, so this is a very special and extremely limited collaboration. The design features the same crocodile embossed faux leather detachable 'apron' created to give the Superga sneakers a classic English loafer-style look. “The design targets to offer a subtle luxurious touch and fashionable edge to the classic Superga silhouette. The juxtaposition of the faux leather element and the casual style of Superga allow for a unique spin to any outfit, making them a perfect everyday shoe, as well as a great option for different semi-formal occasions,” said Barney Cheng of his creation. And here's another reason why you've got to get your hands on these shoes: a $100 donation will be made to the Crossroads Foundation for every pair sold. Fashion for a cause? What's better than that!
