around: bangkok

Bangkok is a city that's easy to fall in love with. The colourful markets, the happy people, the perpetual warm weather, the proximity to the beach, the food ... The list goes on! However, we were there on a mission: to learn more about the local fashion scene.  Below, check out our highlights of this thriving city.

The Fly Now store at Central World.  We love Fly Now for their amazing VM set-ups. I mean, check out the crazy taxidermy animal heads on the mannequins! 'Nuff said.

We really dig how the people of  Bangkok love colourful fashion pieces.

The in-store mood board put together by the amazingly creative sales team at one of Pronto's stores; Pronto is fast becoming our favourite denim lifestyle destination in Asia.

Illustrations of Acne denim styles done by the sales team at Pronto.

Great Pronto chalk artwork at Central City.

How crazy are these ink-splatted shoes?  I smell a DIY coming ...

Sunny, Pronto's Creative Director, strikes a pose outside this wonderfully derelict building in the city.

Sam, Electric sekki's Marketing Manager, is just as colourful as the crazy mismatched colourful furniture.

Lazy kitty-cats!

This was one of our favourite finds: Never Say Cutz is this great barber shop that was started by one of Thailand's hottest local hip-hop bands.  The art work, the crazy shaved hairstyles, and the cool kids that always hung around are what won our hears!

Some cool kids outside of Never Say Cutz. We are really loving the youth culture in Bangkok at the moment...

Sunny from Pronto tries out some roadside jet-fuel style Thai whiskey for the Insight Garage Art Tour party!
