sass & bide s/s '12

sass & bide was one of the first shows to open London Fashion Week, and it's safe to say that they've set the bar high for what's to come.  Heidi's & Sarah-Jane's hands had a decidedly lighter touch this season, though they claimed that it was an unconscious design decision.  Although it definitely wasn't minimalist by any account, their Spring 2012 collection was probably about as minimalist as we've ever seen the dynamic duo go, and we loved the result!  All of sass & bide's signatures are still there: the mixing of prints and textures, the influences from travel, the easy-cool shapes; but it was all done with a cleaner, sleeker approach.  The girls also debuted their new Galleries line, which dominated the end of their show; a capsule of special pieces that employ couture-like techniques and ultra high-end fabrications.  We can't wait to see our favourite style stars wearing these pieces around town!  Oh, and we're all dying over those amazing neon accessories, especially that Masai tribe-inspired spiked collar!  Brilliant!
