new year style resolutions #1

New year, new you?  It seems like everywhere we turn, we're bombarded with the idea of a new you to come with the new year.  In reality, you're still you, but there's always room for improvement, especially in the style department!  This year, in particular, we're welcoming a shift in the fashion industry.  After seasons of complicated dressing filled with "arm parties", clashing prints and lots of layering, the industry has made a deliberate turn towards a look that's much less complicated and much more pared down.  We can't wait to un-complicate things in 2013!  So, that's it: new year's style resolution number 1: un-complicate things!

Do more of the classic denim + white tee combo.  It's simple, it's timeless.  And any excuse to wear One Teaspoon denim cut-offs is ace!

Embrace simple, fuss-free hair.  The kind where you can roll out of bed and look like a million bucks or, if you're lucky, just like supermodel Daria Werbowy.

Go white for evening!  sass & bide's Spring/Summer 2013 collection has got us wanting to trade in our LBD for an LWD.  So fresh.

Invest in Richard Nicoll Spring/Summer 2013 for sporty-chic daywear.  Love it all; the mesh, the zippers, the sweaters.  Want everything!

Wear classic sneakers, give your heels a break. And they don't get more classic than Superga's.
