electric sekki in paris: contemporary

The most important part of the Electric sekki team travelling to Paris each season is to support the designers in each of their showrooms and host Asian press and buyers who come to view the collections.  Each season, the team has the distinct pleasure of being surrounded by gorgeous garments such as these all day long!  Although many of Electric sekki's contemporary brands don't present runway shows in Paris, but in places such as London instead, it is still important for them to present their collections in a showroom space in Paris, where all the major international press and buyers congregate to view the new offerings of the season.  If you want a bit of a behind-the-scenes take on what goes on and how the showrooms look, take a sneaky peak at the Paris Fashion Week photo diary from our Contemporary Department below.

sass & bide
sass & bide presented their 'Wintergate' collection first at London Fashion Week, and had a private showroom in Paris as well to great international press and buyers.

The collection featured a mostly monochromatic palette of blacks and white, with metallic accents and pops of mustard yellow.

sass & bide's signature embellishments, alongside FW13's bondage-inspired accents.

Some fantastic knitwear pieces from sass & bide this season.

The embellished piping on this dress and jacket made them a sure-fire sales hit!

RICHARD NICOLL at Tomorrow.

Richard Nicoll originally showed at London Fashion Week, but pariticpated in Tomorrow's showroom, as they have for the past several seasons, while in Paris.

Richard Nicoll himself (right) chats to a lucky customer at the showroom.

Ultra luxe: supple leathers and crocodile embossing were what it was all about this season!

Gorgeous colours.  Like a scoop of sorbet!

Beautiful patterns to add some dimension to the collection.

The sequin work on this dress is to die for!  Embellished to look like crocodile scales.  Genius!

HOUSE OF HOLLAND at Polly King.
House of Holland's Rave Nana collection showed at London Fashion Week and also took part at the Polly King Showroom while in Paris.

Quirky embellishments on this column gown from House of Holland.

Can you see what they are?  If you guessed smoking cigarettes then you are correct!  Cheeky, cheeky!

House of Holland continues their collaboration with Superga this season with these surrealist sneakers.

No nana-inspired outfit would be complete without a bit of tortoiseshell thrown in there!

NANUSHKA at (capsule)
Nanushka took part in the (capsule) show at Paris this season.

Incredible sweaters from Nanuska's 'Sweater Love' capsule collection.

Gorgeous coats and colours!

We love the relaxed-cool vibe of these jeans and printed silk shirts.

You can always count on Nanushka to bring a bit of a boho vibe to their collections.
