electric sekki in paris: luxury

Last week, we took you behind-the-scenes and showed you what it was like to working in Paris during the Fall/Winter 2013 show season with the Contemporary Department.  Today, we're giving you a sneaky peak at the Luxury Department's Paris Fashion Week photo diary.  While Chalayan did show in Paris, it is even more important to set-up a showroom during the week after the show to greet press who want a more up-close look at the clothes and buyers who will actually be buying the clothes for boutiques around the world.  No. 21 showed in Milan and also set up a showroom in the ritzy Palais Royale district for the same reason.  Smaller, newer labels, such as D. EFECT take part in group showrooms such as (capsule); a larger quantity of upcoming labels all showing together means that they have a bigger 'pull' for buyers and press to visit them, due to the ease of being able to see them all at once.  Take a sneaky peak at the Paris Fashion Week photo diary from our Luxury Department below.

A rave review with a huge mention in the paper for Hussein Chalayan's innovative, inspiring collection.
