superga diy

With the Superga classic 2750's blank canvas style, they are the perfect specimen for a DIY project!  So that's exactly what we did.  In celebration of the launch of Superga's first store in Asia, located at Harbour City, we enlisted a group of our favourite cool, creative people and got them to DIY a pair of Superga's.  What we got was an incredible display of creativity and personality across the board.  We were floored by just how creative each of these influencers could be and they far exceeded our expectations!  Have a sneaky peek at some of them below and make sure to check in with the blog next week as we introduce them to you one-by-one.

Just a few of our influencer DIY's, clockwise from top right: Barney Cheng, VnikaliEve Speciall and Cindiddy.

Eve Speciall went t town on her Superga high-tops, adding her signature fantastic trademark to them through the use of pink glitter, transparent ribbon laces and an explosion of Japanese cartoon stickers.  Definitely brings out the child in you!

Vnikali was inspired by a recent trip to Austria when it came to customizing her Superga's; you can see the regal European influence in the pearl trim and elegant gold detailing, accented with Vnikali's signature turquoise hue.

Hong Kong-based women's fashion designer Barney Cheng is known for his tasteful, classic gowns, so it came as no surprise to us when Barney sent his DIY-ed Superga's in, complete with a take on a classic fringed men's loafer.  Done, of course, in a mock-croc print for an added dose of luxury.

Cindiddy has been referring to herself as a "noble nobody" ever since she started her blog, and the phrase has since been popularized across Hong Kong and beyond.  So, we expected nothing less from Cindiddy with her Superga DIY: we want to be a "noble nobody" with you too, Cindy!

Local band and fashion/art group, La D Da, are known for their creative, stand-out style.  The four members (Andi Autumn, Ruby Gloom, Elton Ng and Koleman Mad Hatter) are known to DIY their clothing and create truly unique one-of-a-kind outfits every time they head out the door.  So when it came to selecting influencers to work with for the Superga DIY project, La D Da was at the top of our list!

Of course, you may not have the time to sit down with a glue gun, glitter and a bunch of paint to produce your own DIY.  The easiest way to customize your Superga's with a unique touch is with a pair of colourful laces.

Superga is located at:
